Bridgeport News: Stabbing

Thank you to all who reached out to let me know about this stabbing that went unreported by the Bridgeport Police. If you have a news item please message me on Facebook. On 8-5-2023 around 2024hrs, there was a caller who reported a male party being stabbed in the chest near the 1600 block of Park Ave. Upon arrival, officers confirm a male party was suffering from a wound to the victim’s upper chest. Officers than applied pressure to the would prior to the arrival of medical professionals. Medical professionals arrived minutes later and transported the victim to the hospital. Route 8 Wrong Way Driver

Terron Jones of the Bridgeport Emergency Communications said in a statement" Today  Around 1842hrs a wrong way driver entered the ramp on the south bound side of route 8. This resulted in more than 4 vehicles involved in the crash. Bridgeport News: Crash! All Hands Working!

2023-06-30@11:08pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Tonight there was a crash that shut down Fairfield Avenue at Holland Avenue (in front of the new Starbucks). Assistant Chief Andrew Ellis oversaw the extrication that took about an hour to help the driver out of the SUV. The driver was wedged tightly against a truck that appeared to be parked. The dashboard also pinned the driver. I always marvel at how the firefighters worked in synch to free the driver. Not many words are spoken, they all know what needs to be done.
