Threat Leads to Drug/Firearm Arrest
On 5-1-23, a male victim called the Shelton Police Department to say a person known to him sent a threatening message that he was coming to the victim’s house. The victim was not forthcoming with details. Police were sent to the area and while responding were told that the known person was now outside of the house in a red car. Police arrived and observed a male inside the red car. Police ordered the male to exit the car and come towards them. The male ran away and jumped into an adjacent river. Officers were able to get the male of out the river. Police located a gun and drugs inside the vehicle. A check revealed the gun was reported…

Ansonia News: Homicide Arrest
On April 6, 2023, Errol Salkey, age 18, of Ansonia was arraigned at Milford Superior Court for his involvement in the April 5, 2022 homicide of Johnny Class. Salkey, who was 17 at the time of the homicide, was taken into custody by the Orange Police Department on March 16, 2023 during an unrelated investigation and turned over to the Ansonia Police Department. Salkey was arraigned in Juvenile Court, where the case was transferred to adult court. Errol Salkey was charged with Felony Murder, Criminal Attempt at Robbery First Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery First Degree. #Ansonia CT--On March 29, 2023, the Ansonia Police Department and DEA New Haven Task Force with the assistance of the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit & Shooting Task Force and Connecticut State Police Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on Howard Avenue in Ansonia. The warrant was the result of a joint investigation into the distribution of narcotics. During the service of the warrant, a large number of drugs and cash were recovered and the target of the investigation was arrested. Seized during the warrant were 448 grams of cocaine, 186 grams of crack, 10 grams of Fentanyl, and $100,000.00 in cash. Incarcerated Man arrested for Violating Protective Order
#Shelton CT-- On 03/28/2023 the Shelton Police Department arrested 27-year Gordon Cole of Shelton.Cole was charged with one count of Violation of a Protective Order and remainedincarcerated on an additional $10,000 bond.Cole was previously arrested in Shelton on 12/29/2022 for several Domestic Violencecharges including 7 counts of violation of a protective order. After the December arrest,Cole was incarcerated and the court issued a Protective Order stating that he is to have nocontact with the victim in the original arrest.During Cole’s incarceration, the Department of Correction alerted Law Enforcement thatthey suspected Cole of having phone conversations with the victim from the originalarrest. Shelton Police conducted an investigation into these phone calls and discoveredthat Cole made and received approximately 70 phone calls…
