Fairfield News: Missing Woman With Dementia Found
10: 39am--#Fairfield CT-- A missing Hispanic woman was found at Black Rock Congregational Church at 3685 Black Rock Turnpike. Police were called to the church to remove the woman who refused to leave the worship center according to radio reports. She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
Fairfield News: Wine Store Break In
Police Update: At approximately 12:33am on 12/1/17, Officers were dispatched to Wine Rack located at 575 Kings Hwy East for the report of multiple alarms with front glass shatter. Officers located a shattered glass window and large rock in the store near the door. Surveillance showed two males wearing hoodies enter and leave the store with several bottles of merchandise. 12:29am--#Fairfield CT--Dave's Wine Rack located at 575 Kings Hwy East was broken into sometime after midnight. Stratford News: 2nd Arrest In Bar Shooting
A second arrest has been made in the robbery and shooting at BAR in Stratford Center. On 11-30- 2017 Jachim Brown age 30 from Bridgeport was arrested at Bridgeport Court based on an arrest warrant issued for him by this department. Brown was charged in the robbery/shooting which occurred at BAR on 11-14- 2017. Brown was charged with the below crimes; Robbery in the First Degree Assault in the First Degree Threatening in the First Degree Criminal Possession of a Pistol/Revolver Criminal Possession of Ammunition Carrying a Firearm without a Permit Brown was held at court on a $500,000 dollar bond and was arraigned on this date. Fairfield News: Water Main Break
11:40am--# Bridgeport CT-- A water main break in the 2100 block of Burr Street (south of the Audobon Society). At 12:12pm police reported the water was turned off and that the roadway has buckled and part of the road is washed away. The roadway is being closed off and there can be expected construction delays. Also, low water pressure and brown water can be expected in the area.
Norwalk News: 2 Pedestrians & Car Hit – Arrest Made
#Norwalk CT--On November 22, 2017 at 1:07 am, the Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle crash on West Avenue near Orchard Street. Arriving officers found that a vehicle had struck two pedestrians and a parked car. Both victims suffered serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by Norwalk Hospital EMS. The driver, Walter Veliz, was found at the scene uninjured. Veliz, who does not possess a driver’s license, failed on scene field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Veliz was transported to police headquarters, where he was found to have a blood alcohol level of .1852. Norwalk News: Kidnap Fraud Suspect
#Norwalk CT-- On 10/14/17, the pictured suspect picked up a fraudulent wire transfer at Stop n Shop located on Connecticut Ave in Norwalk. The victim, who resides out of state, received numerous phone calls from a male pretending to be a law enforcement officer who demanded the victim wire money because his grandson was in jail. The complainant wired $2450 to Stop n Shop in Norwalk. Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-854-3011.
