Bridgeport News: Propane Tank Explodes During Fire
A fire and then a propane tank exploded on a second floor at 152 Grove Street this Monday night. The homeowner credited their daughter for getting everyone out of the house safely. Neighbors across the street said all they saw was smoke coming from the home until the explosion shook their home and then they saw cinders flying upward. There were no reported injuries. Assistant fire Chief Chistopher Martin lead the attack on the fire. Firefighters had to open up walls to fully extinguish the stubborn fire that extended to the third floor.
