2024-03-29@7:41pm----#Bridgeport CT-- A woman in her 60's has been hit by a car at Norman and State Street. Unknown if the driver stopped, the area is closed as a crime scene right now. A pedestrian was also reported struck on Water Street as well.
2024-03-29@4:15pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to the 600 block of Park Street for a porch fire. Firefighters made a quick knock-down of the fire contained to the porch. There was a slight smoke condition in the basement.
Report of a gas leak caused by a contractor who struck a gas line at the 300 block of Midlock Road in Fairfield.
Report of a transformer malfunction that caused a power outage around the 1 block of Greenhouse Road. First responders on the scene say there's no fire but the transformer did malfunction and the power is still out at this time.
Report of a 2 car Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Park Ave and Merritt StreetA pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at 999 Broad Street
A report of a structure fire at 115 New Haven Ave in Derby was a dryer fire in the back room of a barber shop on the second floor which is now reported to be out at this time. Firefighters are currently checking for any extension to this fire.
Today's Car Fire was in front of the 3500 block of Main Street. The fire is out at this time
Program Begins Accepting Applications on April 1 Westport, CT - Human Services Director Elaine Daignault reminds qualifying residents that the 2024 State of Connecticut's Renters' Rebate Program begins accepting applications on April 1, 2024. Westport residents must contact the Westport Human Services Department on or after April 1, 2024, to make an appointment to complete the application. The State of CT Renters' Rebate Program provides income-based reimbursement for seniors aged 65+ and/or individuals with disabilities who collect Social Security income. The renters' rebate amount is based on qualifying income and the amount of rent and utility payments (excluding telephone) made in the previous calendar year (2023).
