Just before 4pm Sunday afternoon firefighters were called to 156 Sunshine Circle for a man pinned between a building and the vehicle he was working with. Firefighters used air bags to reduce the pressure from the vehicle, stabilized the vehicle and freed the man. They were unable to get a pulse and he was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport in cardiac arrest.
It was a wild night for police and EMTs in Bridgeport early Sunday morning just before 12:30am on Seaview Ave.. As the paramedics were caring for their patients shots rang even though police were on the scene. AMR ordered their EMTs and ambulances away from the scene. Police quickly restored the area and EMTs immediately returned. This is why you will see police in video with automatic weapons. Three people were walking down Seaview Ave. when they were approached by a man with a gun who opened fire on them. Justin Thompson, age 14 was pronounced dead at the scene. A total of ten people were sent to nearby hospitals with carbon monoxide symptoms including children. Earlier in the night EMTs were called to the scene with an unresponsive child and an adult that was sick. A short time later fire officials were called back to the scene for an odor of gas where they discovered a generator operating in a locked basement that they had to force entry. Shortly after 3:30pm Friday, January 6, two people were shot on the corner of Stratford Avenue and Carroll Avenue. Police have just begun their investigation but word on the street said one person was shot in the abdomen and another person shot in the leg. Fairfield--Around noontime today Letter Carrier Luz Gongzalez was on her routine loop to deliver mail when she came to 62 Marlborough Terrace. That's when she found a note under the door written by the occupant that she had fallen and had been there since last night. Luz immediately called 911 and ran down the road to the woman's sister in law who opened the door. According to the sister in law who did not want to go on camera, the woman had fallen may have broken her hip. She was upstairs at the time and managed to crawl down the stairs but was unable to reach the telephone to call for help. She even managed to get a blanket and…
Fairfield--Firefighters responded to three consecutive calls on Fairfield Beach Road Friday morning of reports of water running out the front doors and under the house. A building inspector was also on scene. The officials determined that the houses were not heated and the pipes froze. Temperatures have risen and the pipes burst causing the flooding. Two of the houses were rented to college students who are on vacation and they probably turned the heat down. The other house was damaged by Hurricane Irene and was being repaired by a contractor. Again the heat was suspected to have been turned down in the home and the pipes burst.
CORBETT, OR (KPTV) -Multnomah County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a man they said stole tools, two safes and valuable coins from a shed at a Corbett home belonging to his own father. Investigators told FOX 12 that the suspects dumped the collection into a coin counting machine in Gresham and received about $450 in return. Read full story.....
