2 Dorm Fires at Sacred Heart University
[caption id="attachment_4570" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="2 dorm fires at Sacred Heart University tonight"][/caption] Approximately at 5:45pm Friday evening a power surge caused two dorm fires at Sacred Heart University. Firefighters were called to the J-Lot area of the Scholars Common to the smell of smoke from and electrical box. A recall to the fire was called within fifteen minutes but when Assistant Fire Chief George Gamola took command of the scene it was determined that the surges and fires affected another dorm building and the fire apparatus was quickly called back to the scene Firefighters remained on scene past 8pm.
