Norwalk Sexual Offender Arrest

On December 14, 2023, Maurice Thomas-Riley, a 28-year-old resident of 18 Prospect Street Apartment C11, was arrested by warrant. He faces eleven charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest followed an investigation initiated by the Connecticut State Police Sex Offender Registry Unit, which informed the Norwalk Police Department of eleven separate violations occurring over a 2.5-year period. Thomas-Riley's court appearance is scheduled for December 29, 2023, with a set bond of $75,000.

One crafter’s unwanted yarn is another’s inspiration. Do you have a yarn stash that is languishing, unused and unappreciated?Crafters are invited to bring their unwanted yarn to the Library’s first-ever Yarn Swap. Participants should package their yarn in clear bags and be ready to negotiate with fellow yarn lovers. Fairfield News: Lenox Jewelry Burglary Arrest

On 11/29/23 at around 11:30 pm, the Fairfield police responded to a glass break alarm at Lenox Jewelers located at 2500 Black Rock Turnpike. When an Officer arrived on scene, he located a vehicle exiting the parking lot of Lenox Jewelers. The Officer was unable to stop the vehicle as it fled at a high rate of speed. Officers confirmed that a burglary in fact just occurred. Entry was made through a smashed out front window and around $56,000 in jewelry had been taken. The investigation of the burglary was then followed up by the Quality-of-Life unit who collaborated with the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force.
