The incident unfolded on October 22, 2023, at approximately 4:09 PM, when Westport Police were alerted to a boating mishap, potentially involving two missing individuals. A concerned boater in the vicinity of Cockenoe Island discovered a man standing on Nun #2, a navigational buoy, at around 4:00 PM. Promptly, a second man and a woman were also rescued from the water. All three individuals were swiftly transported to Norwalk Marina and subsequently to a hospital for a comprehensive evaluation. On 10/19/23, officers were called to the North Benson Road and Barlow Road area due to a report of gunshots. They found a vehicle with bullet holes in a nearby driveway. Fairfield Detectives determined the incident was related to a domestic relationship. The victim's ex-boyfriend, Christopher Naber, was linked to the shooting. Naber had a prior domestic violence incident in Hamden one month before and a protective order against him. On the same day, search warrants were obtained for Naber and his property in Hamden, Connecticut. With assistance from multiple police departments and units, Naber was arrested at 42 Fairview Avenue, Hamden. The Stratford Library will present a special photo workshop on Monday, November 6 at 7 pm. Stratford's Dee Hiatt, whose current exhibit "The Cell Photo Photo Project" is currently on display at the Library, will host the workshop entitled "Surprise Photos with Your Cell Phone". On July 23, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm ShotSpotter alerted to (16) rounds discharged within the 300 block of Orchard Street and another (4) rounds discharged within the 300 block of Spring St. A few minutes later the Bridgeport Police Emergency Operations Center received reports of a person shot in the ear within the 200 block of Orchard Street. Police and medics responded to the area and located an 8-year-old child suffering from an injury to his ear. The victim and his mother were transported to an area hospital where the 8-year-old child was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the ear. The mother was uninjured.
