Milford News: Assault

#Milford CT--On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:50 pm, Christopher Bier was a patron at Stonebridge Café located at 50 Daniel Street. Bier was asked to leave by the security staff for inappropriate conduct toward other patrons. He was asked to leave repeatedly, and he refused to do so. Security staff escorted Bier off the property, where he assaulted them. Christopher Bier, 34, of Christine Terrace, Milford was arrested and charged with: Assault 3rd Degree, Breach of Peace 2nd Degree Bier was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on June 27, 2023.

Bridgeport News: Homicide Arrest

#Bridgeport CT--This morning members of the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Squad, assisted by the Connecticut State Police Violent Crime Task Force-Bridgeport, arrested 23-year-old Nelson Perez for the murder of 58-year-old Michael Gaines of Bridgeport CT. Mr. Gaines was murdered on April 12, 2023, at the corner of East Main Street and Arctic Street located on the City’s East Side. Perez has been charged with 53a-54a Murder, 53a-217 Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and 53-203 Illegal Discharge of a Firearm. He has a 2-million-dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday June 2, 2023. Shelton News: Two Teens Arrested For Stealing Elderly Woman’s Purse

#Shelton CT--On 05/31/2023 at approximately 3:00 PM a 73-year-old Shelton woman was loading items in her vehicle at Walmart located on Bridgeport Ave in Shelton. A vehicle approached the woman and the passenger exited and stole her purse while pushing her. Eyewitnesses and video surveillance revealed the vehicle was Hyundai Tucson which was later discovered to be stolen. Shelton Police communicated with surrounding towns and the New Haven Police Department stopped the vehicle a short time later. Two 16-year-old New Haven teens were arrested. During the investigation, items from the Shelton woman’s purse were located in the vehicle. #Bridgeport CT--On February 17, 2023, 68-year-old Jeffrey Lindo of Bridgeport CT was assaulted at his home during a domestic dispute. Mr. Lindo resided in the 100 block of Charles Street with his daughter and grandson. On February 20, 2023, Mr. Lindo was found unresponsive inside his home and pronounced deceased. In mid-May 2023, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted the Bridgeport Police Department with the cause and manner of death. The cause of death is complications of blunt impact injury of the head with subdural hemorrhage. The manner of death is homicide.
