All polling locations have assessed public safety issues as a top priority and will be implementing plans with Bridgeport Police as well as COVID protocols.   Each site is properly equipped with a supply of extra protective masks, hand sanitizer, and cleaning disinfectants.  These COVID safety protocols will be mandatory for staff members and individuals attending at all polling locations: Voters must wear a protective mask at all times.If you forget your mask, one will be provided to you on site.Hand sanitizer will be available at the door and when you turn in your ballot sheet.Poll workers and sites are equipped with disinfectant cleaners to properly wipe down “touch surfaces”All attendees must social distance in line 6’ apart and with poll…

The Shelton Public Schools recently offered a virtual 'Parent University’ focused on Navigating the Internet for Distance Learning. The Shelton Schools use Google Classroom as a platform. TESOL Teacher/ExcEL Coach Maria Zampano clearly walks participants through the interface, software, and what a remote school day looks like.  Specific parent and student recommendations for distance learning are addressed, including things like creating a “home schedule” and communicating with teachers, counselors, and others. Fairfield News: Signs Trigger Vandals

A Fairfield home on Davis Road was vandalized during the overnight hours. Police were called to the Davis Road home at 9am on Saturday morning, 10/31 to find political signs defaced and spray painted with BLM and ACAB. Anti-Trump profanities were found to be written on the driveway in shaving cream and the property’s mailbox was covered in shaving cream. A vehicle parked in the driveway was also egged. The owner of the home is a republican member of Fairfield’s Board of Finance. The homeowner was not present when the overnight incident occurred. The incident was reported by a caretaker of the property. The Fairfield Police Department understands that this incident has caused concern to those living within our community.…
