UPDATE: Fairfield Police hit him with stop sticks and he hit a barrier and a state trooper. Suspect Captured In Manhunt in Fairfield/Bridgeport
A pursuit starting on Wood Avenue snaked through to State Street to Railroad Avenue Camden Street to Railroad onto I-95 and exiting in Fairfield at Commerce Avenue now a manhunt on Camden Street in Fairfield. They are wanted on drug and weapons charges. State, Fairfield and Bridgeport Police had a very large net cast in an attempt to capture the suspect. It was all along Commerce Drive, Camden, Rutland Avenue as well as officers along North Avenue, many of the side roads on Kings Highway. On October 1, 2015 the Stratford Police Department was contacted regarding allegations of inappropriate conduct by an adult female and a juvenile victim. The report alleged the suspect was a teacher’s aide with the Stratford School District. This information was later confirmed. As a result of the investigation Stratford Police detectives arrested 46 year-old Kyle Damato-Kushel in connection with this investigation. Damato-Kushel turned herself into Stratford Police on December 8, 2015. Damato-Kushel was released on a $50,000 court set bond. She is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on December 21, 2015. 1:22pm--#Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT-- Earlier today I reported the theft of a backpack leaf blower on Nordstrand Avenue (off Melville Avenue). I posted the report and thought nothing more of it, that is until I heard a dispatch on the Bridgeport Police radio. Chief Radzimirski was on the road and spotted a man driving a bicycle with the heavy Husqvarna backpack leaf blower and thought it was suspicious and pulled him over and detained him at East Washington Avenue and Knollton Street. Connecting the dots I called both police departments to let them know of each other's calls. #FAIRFIELD, CT--(December 7, 2015 Press Release) In the early days of December a dozen Fairfield Fire Officers and Firefighters braved the frigid waters of Ash Creek and the South Benson Marina to participate in a Water Rescue Technician program developing their skills in using the department-issued wetsuits and Rapid Deployment Craft to save civilians throughout the year.
