Waterbury News: Now An Untimely Death Investigation of Naugatuck Man

Waterbury, CT. (July 20, 2016): State Police Detectives from Western District Major Crime (WDMC) are investigating an untimely death in the Route 8 exit 29 commuter lot in Waterbury. On July 20, 2016 at approximately 9:15 a.m., troopers from Troop A-Southbury responded to the Route 8 exit 29 commuter lot for the report of an unconscious male in a motor vehicle. Upon arrival troopers located the unconscious male alone in the vehicle. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. State Police Detectives from Western District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) also responded to the scene and will assist with the investigation. The OCME will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine…

#HARTFORD – After hearing continued complaints from constituents living with mental illness and substance use disorders about equal access to treatment, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) led a group of 17 senators on Monday in urging the White House Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Parity Task Force to consider taking a specific set of actions – including conducting random audits and establishing an online public portal – to improve compliance with parity laws and ensure that Americans receive equal access to behavioral health care. (July 20, 2016): State Police Detectives from Central District Major Crime are investigating the untimely deaths of two deceased adults. On July 20, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Waterbury Police Department responded to 31-33 Marion Ave. in Waterbury for a reported disturbance.  Upon Waterbury Police Department arrival they located two unresponsive adults at the residence. Fraudulent Use Of Credit Cards

The Fairfield Police Detective Bureau is investigating a fraudulent use of a credit card at the Target store located at the Westfield shopping mall in Trumbull. On 07/01/16 a vehicle was entered while parked in the lot of Fairfield Warde High School. A gym bag containing a debit card was taken and fraudulently used at Target. The three suspects (pictured below) were captured on surveillance video utilizing the victim’s credit card to pay for the merchandise. They were then seen exiting the parking lot in a newer model, white 4 door vehicle. State Police Detectives Seize Narcotics, Firearms following Bridgeport Search Warrant

#Bridgeport, CT. (July 13, 2016): State Police detectives from the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force arrested one person following a search and seizure warrant in Bridgeport. On July 13, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force (SNTF), with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Emergency Services Unit, served a Search and Seizure Warrant at 28 Bell Street in Bridgeport. The warrant was the result of an investigation into the sale of prescription pills by Miriam Almourtada- Cotto. Detectives conducted a search of the residence, which is located within 1500 feet of Harding High School, and located hundreds of prescription pills and a number of handguns and rifles.  Almourtada-Cotto was taken into custody and transported to Troop G-Bridgeport…
