Norwalk News: Domestic Arrest Shuts Down Road

Update 11:30pm – Upon executing a search warrant at the residence officers located improvised Molotov cocktail devises. These items were secured as evidence and the scene was made safe. This situation was brought to a peaceful resolution and the suspect is in custody. We appreciate the cooperation of the community and the area residents as we dealt with this situation. The Detective Bureau is asking for the public's assistance with identifying a burglary suspect. The pictured male is a suspect in numerous motor vehicle burglaries that were committed in the early morning hours of 8/22/2020 in East Avenue and Walter Avenue area. The male appeared to be white, in his 20’s, with a beard, and wearing a mask and a t-shirt with the word PORTLAND on it. Norwalk News: Stolen Cars

#Norwalk CT--On September 3, 2020 at 11:44 PM, an Officer who was patrolling the area of EastNorwalk noticed a vehicle traveling with neither headlights nor taillights illuminated. The Officer followed the vehicle and a short time later, the three occupants bailed while the vehicle was still in motion. The vehicle came to a stop when it rolled into a chain. Officers flooded the area in an attempt to locate the occupants. They were not located. Since Friday, August 28, 2020 (a week ago), there have been eight motor vehicles stolen from a different residents within the City of Norwalk. Norwalk News: Candle Starts Fire

Norwalk Fire responded to a house fire at 9 Marlin Drive. The fire started in the second-floor bedroom after a candle fell off the table. The one occupant evacuated with no injuries. There was fire damage to the bedroom and hallway and smoke damage to the rest of the house. The fire is still under investigation and the home is unfit for occupancy, displacing one man. Silver Alert – Missing Juvenile
