Park City Gets New Park

#Bridgeport CT – The City of Bridgeport today joined The Trust for Public Land (TPL), students from Jettie S. Tisdale School, the East End Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) and City Council members to cut the ribbon on the newly revitalized East End Park and Playground at Johnson Oak Park and Tisdale School Grounds. To the joy of local residents, Johnson Oak Park and the adjacent grounds of Jettie S. Tisdale School will re-open after a complete restoration by the City of Bridgeport and The TPL, in partnership with the East End NRZ. Bridgeport News: Cop Finds Missing Senior Citizen

10:34pm--#Bridgeport CT-- #Trumbull CT-- How about some likes for Bridgeport Police Officer Mirtsopoulos (located right in the picture)  in locating a missing senior citizen?  A Trumbull man walked away from one of the local hospitals since early this evening.  The man was last seen around 8pm at Gamestop and Super Stop and Shop on upper Main Street wandering around.  Officer  Reilly (left in the picture) was canvassing the north end as well as the Trumbull Mall.  The family provided Reilly with a recent picture of the missing man.  Around 10:30pm  Officer Mirtsopoulos located the man on North Avenue near Clinton Avenue.  The man's family was on scene and relieved he was found. Bridgeport News: House Fire

7:49pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 47 Lenox Avenue. When they arrived they found fire on the first floor and one person suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire extended to the second floor and attic more than likely from the balloon style structure of the home. Firefighters had to open walls to ensure the fire was out and had the scene under control within the hour. The Red Cross was called for just occupant of the multi-family home. The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

Bridgeport News: Homicide #10 UPDATE

Bridgeport Police update: On December 8, 2018, Emily Todd, 25 of Bethel, CT was fatally shot on Seaview Avenue/ Newfield Avenue adjacent to the boat launch ramp. Todd sustained a single gunshot wound to the back of the head/ neck area and died on the scene. Detectives believe that Todd was in the company of a male whom she recently met. We are pursuing substantial leads in the case and continue to examine evidence collected through the day yesterday and today. No other information is available at this time. #Bridgeport CT-- A gunshot victim was located this morning on the shore adjacent to the launch ramp at Seaview Avenue/ Newfield Avenue. Fairfield-Bridgeport News: Rollover Crash

4:34pm--#Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT-- Both Bridgeport and Fairfield sent out their first responders at the intersection of Brooklawn Avenue Villa/Hughes Avenue.  Multiple calls said there was a person trapped inside the vehicle that was rolled over but the person may have gotten themselves out prior to their arrival.  Multiple ambulances were dispatched but it is not known how many people were injured.
