Bridgeport Police Department Arrests Man for Possession of a Paintball and Airsoft Guns

#Bridgeport, Conn. (November 2, 2015 Press Release) – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect, Carl Brooks (DOB: 06/13/94), for possession and use of paintball and airsoft guns.   On Saturday, October 31 at around 5:45 p.m., police officers responded to a call about shots fired at Marina Village Building #22.   Upon arrival, a police officer observed a few young males sitting on the front steps of building #22. As the police officer approached the young males, the officer heard muffled sound of shots, possibly, projectiles being fired from a pellet gun, paint ball gun, or airsoft rifle.  The police officer observed the building across from Building #22 had its windows broken and was covered by blue…

Bridgeport Police Department Arrests Man for Striking Police Vehicles

#Bridgeport, Conn. (October 27, 2015 Police Press Release) – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department reported the arrest of a man, Anthony Cameron (12/20/89), on several charges related to evading police, striking two marked police vehicles, recklessly endangering his wife and child, and possessing marijuana.  Bond has been set at $50,000.More specifically, Cameron was charged with: risk of injury, reckless endangerment, interfering with police, reckless driving, engaging in police pursuit, operation under suspension, evading responsibility, no insurance operator, wrong way on a one way, and possession of marijuana.   Background: On Monday, October 26,, 2015 at around 11:30 a.m., a Bridgeport Police detective came upon a motor vehicle accident in front of 172 Golden Hill St.  A gray 1999 Mercedes struck…

Bridgeport News: Will Work For Your Soul

1:01pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police were dispatched to Gregory and Park Avenue for a man in a mask and cape with a sign saying "I'll Eat Your Soul" according to radio reports.  The sign actually read I'll Work For Your Soul" and when I arrived I found Derrick and his friends having fun with people passing by the corner store.  Thank you Derrick for a fun start to my reporting day!  The world  needs more Derricks!
