At the end of this past Wednesday’s Board of Selectmen meeting, there were some inaccurate statements and several false allegations regarding the communications consultant hired by the Town this past summer. Boys between the ages of 11 and 18 who have any interest in camping, hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities are encouraged to attend. The event will take place during Troop 82’s normal weekly Thursday meeting hours, from 7:30 pm to 9, at Scout Hall in First Church Congregational in Fairfield across from Town Hall. 2019-09-29@8:44pm--#Fairfield CT-- First responders were dispatched to the Trademark Fairfield located at 665 Commerce Drive for a possible drowning victim in the swimming pool. The woman was pulled from the pool and a nurse that happened to be on scene began CPR. They reported that they did get a pulse but that she was not responsive. A short time later Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola reported on the radio that the woman was breathing and conscious and in the care of EMS.
Last night two suspects attempted to rob the store. Suspects were operating a stolen motor vehicle. When Officers approached, they took off and led officers on a pursuit that ended in PT Barnum. Officers observed the parties attempting to rob the store with masks and what appeared to be a firearm. The pursuit ended in PT. Barnum with 2 suspects taken into custody. Information also was gathered that the two suspect were also wanted for a r0bbery out of Fairfield Ct. Fairfield Police were notified and arrived on scene. 2019-09-25 @11:55pm-- #Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT--Just before midnight the Walgreens at 414 Kings Highway East in Fairfield was robbed by two males at gunpoint. About fifteen minutes later Bridgeport Police located two males with masks on at the McDonald's on North Avenue. They attempted to box the suspects in but they fled on a short pursuit down North Avenue, onto Fairfield Avenue. Bridgeport Police finally boxed them in at PT Barnum Housing and took two into custody. It was then they discovered it was the vehicle wanted in the Walgreens robbery. A positive identification was made on the two, one was a minor and transported to the youth bureau the other to booking on Congress Street.

On Monday, September 23, 2019 at approximately 3:59 a.m., Troopers were conducting motor vehicle enforcement in the area of Interstate 95 Southbound, Exit 19 in the town of Fairfield. Troopers observed a green Toyota Camry traveling in the center travel lane. Suddenly the vehicle began veering from the center lane and into the left travel lane. Troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop as a result of the motor vehicle violation and upon approaching the vehicle, Troopers were able to identify the operator of the vehicle as Gary Diaz (D.O.B: 02-21-1989) of Alexandria, Virginia.
