They were about three quarters up the tree when they spotted the birds and gently brought them down. Fairfield Police said Lewis Tree Service was properly permitted to take down the tree so fowl play is not suspected. Animal Control was on the scene and the plan to move the nest to the tree next to the one being taken down. On Thursday May 2, 2019 the Fairfield Police Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from Subway (709 Post Road) at approximately 7:25 pm reporting an armed robbery had just occurred. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black beanie style hat, a dark colored jacket and blue jeans displayed a black firearm and took cash from the register. He was last seen running east on the Post Road. There were no injuries as a result and the Fairfield Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating. 2019-04-30 @ 2:08pm--#Faifield CT--One suspect is in custody after radio reports said was a home invasion in the Coventry/Catamount area off Redding Road. Taken at knifepoint were the victim's earnings and cash. Police caught up with the suspect who took off on a pursuit onto Black Rock Turnpike after he had given police his ID card. The pursuit continued onto the Merritt Parkway. When speeds reached 90 mph Fairfield Police terminated the pursuit since they had his identification.
