K-9 attempted a track but the suspect likely fled into a car and the track was washed away by the heavy rain at the time. Fairfield News: Tense Stand off With Police In A Bank

On April 23 rd , 2019, the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau was conducting an investigation into bank fraud related to the theft of approximately $120,000 from an elderly person residing in Texas. The suspects in this matter were conducting these fraudulent transactions at Bankwell, located at 1 Sasco Hill Road in Southport. At approximately 4:00pm on the 23 rd , Detectives observed Carl Myers, DOB 9/24/72 of 358 Exeter Street in Bridgeport enter the bank. When Myers was confronted by detectives, he drew a pistol which he had concealed in his pants. A tense stand-off ensued between Myers and several officers in the bank, with several officers holding Myers at gunpoint and issuing repeated orders to drop his weapon. Myers…

2019-04-19 @ 12:18am--#Fairfield CT-- First responders on scene of what appears to be a one-car crash on I-95 northbound near exit 24. Radio reports said one car went from one side of the highway and off the road, they may have referred to the left lane across the northbound lanes. The car went through the guard rail and into the wooded area. A family nearby heard what they thought was an explosion and got in the min-van to investigate the scene with me. #Fair field CT--On September 2, 2017 I reported on the fire broke out at the Sherman Parsonage House 480 Old Post Road. The damage was so significant that the historic home that it was recently sold as a teardown and was set for demolition. Trumbull based real-estate developer John Paul Development purchased the home for an undisclosed amount and brought the home back to its former glory. John Paul and his wife Heather recently held an open house to show the community that he kept the outside of the home true to the original build.
