#Norwalk CT-- On Monday, August 29th at 9:06 am the Norwalk Police Communications centerreceived a 911 call from a State of Connecticut Marshall attempting to serve aneviction order at a residence located at 9 Sylvester Court.The Marshall reported that he was met by a group that was interfering andobstructing his attempt to serve the order, as well as several individualstrespassing on the property. A group of officers responded to Sylvester Court and made contact with theMarshall. The officers were confronted by a group a 15-20 people protesting theeviction, trespassing, and obstructing. Norwalk News: Shooting Incident – South Main Street

#Norwalk CT-- On August 4, 2022, at 10:58 p.m., Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting that gunshots were heard in the area of South Main Street and Merritt Street. Responding officers located a crime scene in the area of 152 South Main Street. A short time later Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a call from Norwalk Hospital, which reported that male suffering from a gunshot wound had just arrived by private vehicle. The victim is a 36- year-old male who suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his legs. The Detective Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.This investigation is active at this time. Norwalk News: Drowning At Calf Pasture Beach

#Norwalk CT-- On Sunday July 31, 2022, at 4:47pm Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting an unconscious person in the water at Calf Pasture Beach near the Coast Guard Auxiliary building. Norwalk Police Patrol Division, Marine Unit, Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service and Norwalk Fire Department were immediately dispatched to the scene. An officer assigned to Calf Pasture Beach arrived on scene moments later and observed people pulling an unconscious male to shore and assisting a conscious female to shore. The officer took over CPR from a bystander who had begun CPR on the male. The Norwalk Fire Department assisted with CPR on the male, who is identified as Mauricio Rodas-Garcia, 60 of Norwalk. #Norwalk CT--On June 16, Mario York, a teacher at West Rocks Middle School, was arrested.An investigation was initiated on November 11, 2021, when a student at West RocksMiddle School reported that he was mistreated by Mr. Mario. Detective Kristina La Pakof the Norwalk Police Department Special Victims Unit assumed the case and worked together with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to conduct a thorough investigation. The investigation revealed that on October 29, 2021, Mario grabbed the student by his shoulder, while he was sitting in a chair, and pulled him causing the student to fall to the ground.
