#Stratford, CT — Mayor Laura R. Hoydick  announced that the Town of Stratford will host this year’s Veterans’ Breakfast on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The annual event, which has provided breakfast for more than 1,000 veterans since 2012, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., and will be held at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford. There is no charge for veterans or their guest, who will receive a full traditional breakfast.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Veterans and non-veterans who are interested in attending should call Mayor Laura Hoydick’s office at (203) 385-4001 and ask to speak with Chris Bandecchi, the Town’s Constituent Service and Outreach Coordinator and Municipal Veterans Representative; or send an email tocbandecchi@townofstratford.com. Veterans may also register at VFW Post 9460, the Stratford Senior Center, or the Stratford Public Library. Stratford Police UPDATE: Carlos Lanauze age 34 of Bridgeport was arrested and charged with Burglary 3 rd and Criminal Trespass 3 rd for breaking into a home on Columbus Avenue in Stratford. The incident occurred on 04-12-2019 at approximately 1245pm. Officers were alerted to the burglary by an observant neighbor who saw that the front door of the home was open while the homeowner was away. Lanauze was taken into custody by responding officers when he exited the back door of the home. Lanauze was held on a $5000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on 04-18-2019.

2019-04-12 @ 1:02pm–Stratford Police Chief Joseph McNeil said one person is arrested in a 3rd-degree burglary and criminal trespass on Columbus Avenue.

Connecticut Post is reporting that the three suspects are: Vincent Michael Keller, 18, of Stratford; Christopher Sakowicz, 18, of Stratford; and Logan Caraballo, 17, of Shelton.  They also reported Judge Frank Iannotti, had their cases were formally transferred to adult court and their identities were made public.

 

After a lengthy investigation, the Stratford Police Department arrested two juveniles in connection with recent arson and burglary incidents within the town including the arson at Shakespeare Theater. The suspects were charged with:

Arson in the 1 st Degree
Burglary in the 1 st Degree
Criminal Trespass in the 2 nd Degree
Reckless Endangerment in the 1 st Degree
Conspiracy to Commit Arson in the 3 rd Degree
Criminal Trespass in the 3 rd Degree
Burglary in the 3 rd Degree
Criminal Mischief in the 3 rd Degree

 

Juvenile #2:
Arson in the 1st Degree
Burglary in the 1st Degree
Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree
Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree
Conspiracy to Commit Arson in the 3rd Degree
Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree
Burglary in the 3rd Degree
Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree

All of the suspects were processed at the Stratford Police Department and turned over to court.  The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
