The Stratford Library will present an online music program, “The Larry Haddad Quintet”, Saturday, June 19 at 2 pm. Presented online via Zoom, the concert is free and open to the public. This is the second Zoom concert featuring the popular Stratford quintet who delighted audiences last December with a special holiday jazz concert. “The Larry Haddad Quintet” features drums, bass, guitar, piano and saxophone as they perform several select jazz standards for the concert. A short time later first responders from this crash rushed to Congress Street near Black Rock Turnpike near the Merritt off ramp. There were no serious injuries reported at either crash.

HARTFORD – State Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) joined her colleagues in the state Senate to pass a bipartisan, two-year Democratic state budget that invests in education, cities and towns, and nonprofit social service providers while not raising taxes, remaining well under the state spending cap, and putting an extra $1 billion toward paying off Connecticut's historic unfunded pension debt. The Senate voted 31-4 to pass House Bill 6689, the state biennial budget for July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.
