Westport Employee Arrested For Recording Female Student

On 04/02/19, School Resource Officer Wooldridge observed Westport Public School maintenance employee Paul Telep in the Staples High School cafeteria. Telep appeared to be recording students, particularly a juvenile female, with his work cell phone. SRO Wooldridge confronted Telep about the suspicious incident and notified school officials. Staples administrators later seized the phone, as it was property of the school system. A forensic search of the phone conducted by Westport detectives revealed Telep had deleted seven videos. The videos all featured the same female student recorded on different dates/times, including the incident in which Telep was observed by School Resource Officer Woolridge. Both the student and her mother were notified and the student advised she was unaware she had been recorded. An arrest warrant application for Telep was submitted and later granted.

 

On 05/07/2019, Telep turned himself in at police headquarters on the outstanding warrant.  He was charged with 53a-181e Stalking 3 rd and released after posting $50,000 cash bond.
Telep is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on 05/16/2019.

Un empleado de Westport fue arrestado por grababa estudiante

Bridgeport News: Protestors Block Roads

About 40-50 protesters marched to block traffic on Park Avenue, West Avenue, State Street and Fairfield Avenue according to radio reports to protest “Justice for Jayson” on the anniversary of his death.  In 2017 Negron, 15,  was driving a stolen 2012 Subaru Forester in Bridgeport accompanied by Julian Fyffe, then 21, when the vehicle was spotted by police who pursed the stolen vehicle.  Negron led the officers on a brief pursuit, eventually striking Boulay with the vehicle door. Boulay fired into the car.  Boulay said “that he was in fear of being dragged under the Subaru being operated by Jayson Negron and discharged his weapon only after he had been struck by the vehicle and believed that he was about to be subjected to serious bodily harm.

Fairfield News: Fugitive Apprehended After Foot Pursuit

2019-05-09 @ 3:11pm–Fairfield Police Patrol Division assisted Federal Marshal apprehend a fugitive from Massachusetts who was staying at the Best Western at 100 Kings Hwy Cutoff. The suspect jumped from a first story window but was quickly apprehend by Fairfield Police.

201-05-09 @ 12:57pm–#Fairfield CT– Prayers are need for a 12 year old student who attempted to suffocate him/herself with a belt at Tomlinson Middle School located at 200 Unquowa Road.   The nurse evaluated the student to be okay.  First responders were dispatched to further evaluate the child provide further care.

Westport News: Body Found

POLICEE UPDATE:  Police said the deceased was identified as Antonio Dopoco, 86, of Trumbull, CT. The incident remain sunder investigation by members of the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau however, his death is not being treated as suspicious.

 

2019-05-09 @ 8:45am–#Westport CT– Police received a call regarding a body that had washed up along the shore in the area of 132 Beachside Avenue.    A deceased elderly white male was located.  He will be publicly identified pending notification of next of kin.  The victim’s car was found on the Southport side of Pequot Avenue.  It is not known if the person took their life or if it was accidental.

Fairfield News: Child Brought To Firehouse For Emergency Care

10:34pm–#Fairfield CT– Assistant Chief George Gomola said it was one of those calls you hope you never hear or experience and that was a call of an infant child not breathing. A family who neighbors the police and fire department had an infant child that was not breathing. Instead of waiting for emergency personnel he went to the emergency personnel. The father, in his underwear, ran the child down Catherine Street then down Nichols Street to the police station. Emergency personnel was able to hear the father calling for help but had trouble locating him. Once the located the father they brought him and the child to the back of the fire station where they were able to begin treating the child.

The child suffered a febrile seizure that gives the appearance of the child going into respiratory arrest. A febrile seizure is a convulsion in a child caused by a spike in body temperature. The assistant chief cited the AMR paramedic in calming the father and in providing outstanding medical care to the child. The child is at the hospital in what they consider a non-life-threatening emergency. Gomola said it is a common occurrence but is very frightening to parent.

Assistant Chief Gomola said it was fortunate that the firefighters were not at another call otherwise it would have resulted in a delay in treatment. Gomola said to have faith in the 911 system and emergency communicators to get the help that is needed in a quick manner.

Una familia que vive cerca de la Policía y el Departamento de bomberos fueron presentados con un bebé que no respiraba. El envés de esperar a los personales de emergencias, se fue corriendo al personal de emergencias. El padre, en su ropa interior, corrió al niño por la calle Catherine y luego por la calle Nichols hasta la estación de policía. El personal de emergencias fue capaz de escuchar al padre pidiendo ayuda, pero tuvo problemas para localizarlo. Una vez que el padre trajo al niño a la parte trasera de la estación de bomberos donde pudieron comenzar a tratar al niño.
El niño sufrió una convulsión febril que da la apariencia del niño que va a para el sistema respiratoria. Una convulsión febril es una convulsión en un niño causada por un pico en la temperatura corporal. El ayudante del jefe citó al paramédico de AMR para calmar al padre y proveer atención médica sobresaliente al niño. El niño está en el hospital en lo que consideran una emergencia que no pone en riesgo la vida. Gomola dijo que es una ocurrencia común, pero es muy aterrador para los padres.

#Bridgeport CT– Chief Perez with representatives of the Bridgeport Police Department announce a Gun Buyback event to be hosted on Saturday, May 11 from 10am-3pm at the Community Services office at 1395 Sylvan Avenue.   Local business owners have gathered to support this event in an effort to reduce the number of firearms owned by residents in our city, and to provide a process whereby members of the community can safely turn-in and sell privately owned firearms to the police.  The program includes residence from around the surrounding community as well.

Stratford News: Fugitive Arrest

#Stratford CT–Travis Walton age 24 was arrested following a narcotics search warrant execution at 15Woodend Road (Apt1). Walton is a fugitive who has avoided sentencing for approximately 3 years for weapons and domestic violence offenses. The warrant was served by members of the Stratford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit along with Patroland Detectives. Marijuana, packaging materials and money were also seized.Walton was taken into custody due to (5) outstanding warrants with a total of $400,000cash bond. Walton was unable to post bond and was placed in the lockup and issued a Court date of 05/07/2019.
