Police UPDATE: On July 27, 2019 at 0113 hours, shots were fired at Newfield Avenue/ Revere Street. A 32 year old male victim was struck multiple times by gunfire and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A large crowd formed after the shooting and was dispersed by patrol officers. Detectives worked throughout the night to process a crime scene and are working to establish a motive. On July 23, 2019 The Stratford Police Department responded to a report of a preteen who was sexually assaulted in Town. It was determined the preteen met the suspect through the social media application “Snapchat”. The suspect created fake profiles on several social media applications. Using the fake profile the suspect lured the preteen from a residence where he sexually assaulted victim. Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Reginald W Sharp (DOB 03/13/1985) of Bridgeport. Sharp is a convicted sex offender currently on the sex offender registry. 2019-07-26 @ 11:02am--#Easton CT-- Firefighter's quick response kept a fire on the outside wall from spreading to the rest of the home on Mohawk Drive. There were no reported injuries. Faifield Fire was called for mutual aid but was not needed.
2019-07-26 @ 12:12am--#Bridgeport CT-- There were numerous reports of shots fired outside the club on Park Avenue near Benahm Avenue. Police located shell casings at the corner of Benham Avenue. No one or anything was reported hit by the gunfire. About ten minutes later police received calls for shots fire on Olive Street but there was nothing reported hit there either.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Troopers out of Troop G-Bridgeport came upon a disabled motor vehicle in the median of Interstate 95 Southbound, Exit 18, in the Town of Westport. Troopers quickly discovered that the Connecticut registration plate displayed on the rear of the vehicle came back to an entirely different make and model. The vehicle was occupied by two males who stated that they had ran out of gas. The operator of the vehicle, who was later identified as Leonard McNair (D.O.B: 01-22-1997), provided Troopers with an identification card which belonged to another person. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that McNair was in possession of a 9mm Handgun. McNair was subsequently arrested…
#Milford CT--A Chevy Suburban bearing Tenessee plates passed a state trooper in the right at a high rate of speed on Rte 15 Northbound in the area of Exit 53. During the course of the traffic stop investigation it was determined that there was marijuana present in the vehicle. A subsequent vehicle search revealed that there was more than 1/2 ounce of marijuana in the vehicle in various places.
