#Bridgeport CT--Police need your help identifying the man who attempted to break into a home on Tesiny Avenue. The picture was taken from a residential doorbell camera. As the video was captured during the nighttime hours the night vision was activated on the camera. The suspect is possibly a Black or Hispanic male with a neatly trimmed beard, a puffy coat, and dark color baggy jeans. The front door had tool marks observed on the inner area of the doorframe. Entry was not made but the door fell apart as the homeowner opened the door. *It is possible the suspect had a large screwdriver or small crowbar. 9:30AMish--#Stratford CT-- David Newman, Age 42 of 91 Gina Circle was arrested after he attacked his roommate. The incident occurred at the residence at which time Newman assaulted his roommate with a knife and stabbed him several times in the arm and shoulder. It is unknown what prompted the attack. The roommate was able to fend off the attack at which time Newman returned to his bedroom and waited for Officers to arrive. Newman surrendered to officers when they arrived on the scene without incident. David Newman was charged with Criminal Attempt at Murder and Assault in the First Degree.
