The investigation began in October 2024 after numerous complaints from neighbors regarding suspicious activity at the property. Reports included frequent vehicular and pedestrian traffic, "hand-to-hand" narcotics transactions, and disturbances from an alleged illegal car repair and junkyard operation at the residence. During the search, authorities discovered heroin, fentanyl, loaded syringes, narcotics packaging materials, and paraphernalia in plain view. Arrest Made in Child Sexual Assault Case

Bryan Flores-Calero, a 19-year-old resident of Norwalk, CT, was arrested on January 23, 2025, on two counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. The investigation, led by Detective English of the Special Victims Unit, began after the Norwalk Police Department received a report on November 21, 2024, from a family member who discovered the minor had been sexually abused. An arrest warrant was issued on January 23, 2025, thanks to Detective English's work, and Norwalk Patrol Officers apprehended Flores-Calero the same day while he was driving his vehicle. He was taken into custody and held on a $50,000 bond, with a court appearance scheduled for February 6, 2025.

Derby Pursuit Ends In Bridgeport

Derby and State Police pursued a blue Honda Civic wanted for shoplifting and then hitting 2 police cruisers through multiple towns on Route 8, I-95 and the Merritt Parkway. Police were able to get a front tire to go flat after striking spike sticks at I-95 split on Route 8/25. The pursuit came to an end at Highland and Washington Avenue. He thought about it for a moment and said he thinks Buffalo is on the edge and overdue. They play their nemesis, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Saturday for the National Football Conference. First responders are investigating the cause of a crash in the 1100 block of Howard Avenue near Maplewood Avenue. The car crashed into a fence and stopped after hitting the Grace and Mercy Deliverance Outreach leaving minor damage to the exterior of the building. The Stratford Library Board is currently requesting donations for its annual book sale. Contributors are urged to recycle their good books to share with others and help the Stratford Library increase their book purchase fund at the same time. The book sale fund-raiser is being organized this year by the SLA Board of Trustees member Shelley Hall of Stratford. Donations of good hard cover books and paperbacks, fiction or non-fiction as well as sound and video recordings, can be brought to the library. A special book collection bin is on site in the Main Lobby. Bridgeport firefighters responded to an apartment fire at the Seabreeze Apartments, located at 223 Iranistan Avenue, earlier today. According to unconfirmed radio reports, firefighters forced entry into the unit and quickly extinguished the flames using a portable tank of water. The fire was successfully contained to the kitchen and living room area, preventing further damage to the building. Frozen Puppies Found in Plastic Bags in Bridgeport, Investigation Underway

On Tuesday, January 22, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Bridgeport Animal Control officers responded to a disturbing report near the intersection of Newfield Avenue and Orange Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two plastic bags containing the frozen remains of three deceased puppies. The puppies, believed to be newborns between one and five days old at the time of their death, were found in tragic conditions. Authorities are now awaiting necropsy results to determine additional details about their deaths. Bridgeport Animal Control and local police have launched an investigation and are seeking the public's assistance to identify those responsible for this act of animal cruelty.
