Our city has rallied together time and time again this winter to successfully beat back potentially harmful road conditions caused by the snow. And, we know we're up for the challenge yet again. 5:13am--#Firefighters were called to 135 Park Street for a structure fire. The building was vacant except for some homeless people who took up residence. It is possible the fire started when they started a fire to keep warm. Firefighters found heavy smoke when they arrived. Firefighters searched for anyone inside the building but found no one. Firefighters said this fire had the potential to be bigger but within a half hour firefighters had the upper hand on the blaze.
