#Milford CT--On October 24, 2022, officers were dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods for a report of a shoplifting. The female suspect had a child with her and fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was located with 4 flat tires on Research Drive. The female driver, later identified as Ashley Swiatowiec, 31 of West Haven was detained and a child was located in the vehicle in a car seat. The Loss Prevention Officer at Dick’s Sporting Goods said that Swiatowiec entered the store with a young boy in the cart. FOUR JUVENILE CAR THIEVES CAPTURED IN TRUMBULL

Trumbull Police charged four (4) juveniles after they crashed a stolen car and fled on foot into a residential neighborhood near Town Hall early today. Officers who were searching the area located the four suspects as they were attempting to escape with the help of an Uber driver. One (1) juvenile, age 12, of Hamden, one (1) juvenile, age 15, of West Haven, and two (2) juveniles, ages 15 and 16, of New Haven, were all arrested and charged with auto theft for their involvement in this incident. #Bridgeport CT-- This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with members of the Bridgeport and Stratford Police Department, arrested 38-year-old Joseph Omar Dejesus of Stratford Connecticut for the murder of 29-year-old Bridgeport resident Dominique Jones.  Jones was murdered on October 8, 2022, in downtown Bridgeport (Fairfield Avenue & Broad Street).  Two other victims were shot during this incident.  Both survived their injuries and have since been released from the hospital.  Joseph Dejesus, formerly known as Joseph Reyes, was arrested at a relative’s home in Stratford, CT.  He has been charged with 53a-54a Murder, 53a-59 Assault in the 1st Degree, 53a-217 Criminal Possession of a Firearm, 29-35(a) Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, 53-203 Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, and…

Bridgeport News: Firefighters Battle A Commercial Fire

2022-10-24@10:13PM--Firefighters were called to a fire at King Floor Supplies at 215 Islandbrook Avenue in Bridgeport Monday night.  The fire quickly went to two alarms as they battled the fire which contains hardwood floors and adhesive.  Chief Lance Edwards said there was a concern with the chemicals.  Surrounding businesses were also evacuated due to the heavy smoke and then the power was turned off to the area as well.  King Floor Supplies accounted for all their employees.  There were no reported injuries.   https://youtu.be/TdRcy7gRJrY
