Fairfield Police Arrest Man in Connection with December Overdose Death Fairfield, CT — The Fairfield Police Department has arrested Connor Dushay, 22, of Milford, in connection with a December 2025 overdose death in Fairfield. On 12/27/2025, Fairfield Police responded to a residence on Mill Plain Road for a report of an unresponsive male. Despite lifesaving efforts, the individual was later pronounced deceased. An investigation conducted by Fairfield Police detectives determined that the death was the result of acute intoxication due to the combined effects of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol. Through the course of the investigation, detectives developed evidence that Dushay had supplied narcotics to the victim prior to the overdose and tampered with evidence at the scene. In October 2025, the Norwalk Police Department Detective Bureau began a financial crimes investigation involving a company that was the victim of a business email compromise scam. The scam caused changes in bank wiring instructions and the diversion of a large sum of money to a bank in Washington rather than to the contractor's bank account. Through a lengthy investigation, multiple search and seizure warrants, and working closely with the contractor and multiple banks, a suspect was identified as Matthew Patterson. The majority of the funds were frozen, seized, and returned. An arrest warrant was obtained for Matthew Patterson. During the incident, a masked individual entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the store employee. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident and the Fairfield Detective Bureau responded immediately to process the scene. The caller reported that during a scheduled meeting to sell clothing, the other individual used force and displayed a handgun. Norwalk Patrol Officers responded to the scene and determined that both the victim and the suspect were juveniles. The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect had arranged the sale of the clothing through Snapchat. On February 14, 2026 at about 9:50 P.M. officers of the Ansonia Police Department were investigating a one car accident on Elm Street when another vehicle travelling on Elm Street struck a stopped marked cruiser, which had its emergency lights activated, then fled the scene. Officers located the evading vehicle on East Main St and took the driver, Angel Sosa, into custody, during which time they located 2 loaded handgun magazines on Sosa and a loaded 9mm Sig Sauer handgun in the back seat of the vehicle.
