On August 21, 2015 at around 3:00 p.m. a man flagged down a Bridgeport police officer and explained that he was the victim of a carjacking at gunpoint. The victim stated that he was out of his wife’s vehicle at Wood Ave. and Olive St. when a car pulled around his car and parked up ahead. Please visit the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection web page, http://www.fairfieldct.org/hazwaste, for a list of acceptable (and unacceptable) materials. Since May 1990, the towns and cities which are members of HazWaste Central have disposed of and recycled more than 1,000,000 gallons of hazardous waste. On Saturday August 29, 2015, the Town of Fairfield will need volunteers from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Volunteers will not be handling any hazardous waste.
