On September 6, 2024, at Norwalk Police Officers observed a disturbance on the grounds of the Oyster Festival in the area of Fort Point Street and Seaview Avenue. Shortly thereafter, it was discovered that two juveniles had sustained stab wounds. Officers immediately summoned emergency medical services, who rendered aid to the two juveniles and transported them to the Norwalk Hospital. A male juvenile was arrested at the scene. The male was charged with one count of assault in the first degree and one count of assault in the second degree. Report of heavy black smoke and fire coming from the back of a home on Pease Ave in Southport. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire which extended through the attic, and there are no reported injuries at this time. Police are on the lookout for a black Dodge Charger for discharging a firearm in the area of Andover Street in Bridgeport. The Charger was last seen on I-95 getting off of exit 29. This is all according to unconfirmed state police radio reports, and there is no further information at this time.

It has been confirmed that Cream Smoke Shop does not have a state license to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products. The investigation began after receiving reports that underage individuals were buying cannabis and THC products from the shop. As part of the investigation, undercover officers conducted four controlled purchases of these substances, leading to the execution of a search warrant on September 5, 2024.
