DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport CT – Chief Perez and the Bridgeport Police Department are issuing a warning to the community. There is a batch of deadly heroin circulating within the city. Zwart 4 (003).   A specific brand of heroin appears to have been linked to at least two deaths in the Hollow section of city in the past several days. White envelopes marked with a red skull and the words “Head Games” have been found next to multiple victims (Photograph below.)   On February 6th, a 57-year-old woman was found dead on Coleman Street next to these envelopes. Bridgeport News: Police Investigate A Homicide

Bridgeport News: Police Locate Suicidal Teen In Time

10:35pm--#Bridgeport CT-- How about some likes for the Bridgeport Police who located a suicidal teen in time?  Police began receiving frantic calls from family members that a male teen with a noose was streaming on Facebook Live that he was going to hang himself in an abandoned factory building, it was thought to be the Remington Shot Tower or one of the empty Remington buildings.  Many frantic family members arrived at the scene.  Firefighters were called to force entry to the complex and first responders found nothing.  It was then thought the teen was headed to Fairfield.  Bridgeport Police continued searching for the teen and located him safe and sound a short time later near Arctic Street.  The teen was transported…

Bridgeport News: Woman Saved In Water Rescue
