2:22pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters just had to run across the street to an unresponsive male in front of the gazebo at Grove and Wood Avenue. There was no update on the man's condition. He was allegedly intoxicated according to witnesses.
2:02pm--#Bridgeport CT-- There was an attempted abduction in the 400 block of Beechwood Avenue. A seventeen-year-old male told me and police that he did get in a car to help a middle-aged woman locate an address. When he attempted to get out of the car the woman tried holding him back, ripping his shirt and scratching up his chest. Police are looking for an older silver Honda with a white or Hispanic female who spoke with an accent. She was about 45-50 years of age, with white/gray hair, about 170 pounds wearing glasses, a pink blouse and light blue pants. 5:33pm--#Stratford CT-- Firefighters on scene at Mary Avenue for a kitchen fire. The food on the stove was on fire and it extended to the cabinets according to radio reports. I guess our sponsor sounds like a good option right about now!
11pm 2/13--#Fairfield CT--#cttraffic-- State Police say Ashley Cooper, 59 of Bridgeport was driving her 2005 Nissan Altima southbound in the northbound lane near the Morehouse Highway overpass in Fairfield last night and struck a 2016 Acadia SUV driven by Jeffrey Butler, 51, of Shelton and a RAV 4, identified as William McGeorge, 54, of Park Avenue. Cooper and Butler were injured and transported to the hospital by AMR. Butler's passenger and McGeorge were not injured according to the state police accident report. The highway was shut down for over an hour. Cooper was charged second-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
