2021-01-13@1:29pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to Vine Street that went to two alarms. The home at 32 Vine Street suffered significant damage on all three floors and caused damage to the house to it’s left. Everyone safely made it out and there were no reported injuries to either firefighters or occupants. Robbery Arrest

BRIDGEPORT, CT -- Kemuel Jimenez-Rivera DOB 10/29/1981 was taken into custody on December 29, 2020 by Stratford Detectives with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police FusionCenter and several Bridgeport Officers. Upon interviewing Jimenez-Rivera he confessed to thefollowing armed robberies within the City of Bridgeport:12/23/20 Subway Restaurant 1552 Wood Avenue CFS 11033612/24/20 Shell Gas Station 2612 Main Street CFS 11060212/26/20 CVS Pharmacy 3710 Main Street CFS 11060212/26/20 Chinese Food Restaurant 4565 Main Street CFS 111215Arrest warrants are pending for these incidents.Kemuel Jimenez-Rivera also confessed to two Stratford robberies that occurred in the past twodays.

Bridgeport News: 4 Shot Outside Sports Bar – 2 Killed

Police UPDATE: The victims of the homicides that occurred on December 20, 2020 at 456 Connecticut Avenue are identified as Jaheim Warren, 19 of Derby Ct and Andrew Stephenson, 24 of Bridgeport. Both were likely shot as the result on an ongoing dispute. The surviving victims do not appear to have been intended targets. The location where the shootings occurred was formerly Mango'z Sports Bar. This establishment does not have a valid license to sell alcohol or operate as a bar. The circumstances surrounding who owns the bar and why it was open are the subject of this ongoing investigation. #Bridgeport News: The City of Bridgeport advises that the Fire Marshal’s Office located at 45 Lyon Terrace is closed until further notice. City officials were notified late last week of employees in the Fire Marshal’s Office that were exhibiting signs of COVID-19 and have subsequently been referred to be tested.   Due to the closure onsite inspections will be postponed while available Fire Marshals that were not impacted continue to work remotely on “life safety” issues. In the meantime, all calls for the Fire Marshal should be directed to 203-576-8013. Bridgeport, CT –The Department of Public Health is urging residents to “Fight the Flu.”  Any resident without insurance can schedule an appointment to receive a flu shot at the Communicable Disease Clinic, 752 East Main Street Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Residents with insurance can present their insurance card to any CVS or Walgreens pharmacy and get the flu vaccine free of charge.  Health Director Lisa Morrissey is encouraging residents to get vaccinated.  “This year, it is even more important to get your flu shot.
