Halloween Still On In Fairfield
Please note, this is the only press release received by any local town on Halloween activities. #Fairfield CT-- Members of the Town's Emergency Management Team met yesterday to discuss the weather forecast for Halloween and the effect it may have on trick-or-treating in Fairfield. The Team also discussed requests the Town has received to consider changing trick-or-treating night to Friday or Saturday and the logistics involved in making such a change. The Team agreed, that due to the fact that trick-or-treating is not a Town-sponsored event, it is best to leave the decision up to families and individual neighborhoods to change the night within their own neighborhood. Fairfield News: Health Department Update On Contaminated Soil
As part of the Town's continuing efforts to keep residents informed and updated on the safety of our parks, school grounds and fields, the Health Department is issuing the following update: Remediation is underway at Gould Manor Park. This work should be completed this week. Plans are being finalized for remediation at Burroughs Field. The next round of testing for sites that received aggregate fill will begin later this week. The State Department of Public Health has provided the Town with guidance and recommendations based upon a recreational standard for exposure to soils. 2019-10-22@7:24pm-- A three car crash is snarling traffic on Kings Highway in front of the car dealership near the Cumberland Farms. No word on injuries. The third car is barley visible in front of the truck facing the wrong way.
Bridgeport Pursuit Ends In Fairfield
2019-10-22@3:36pm-- #Bridgeport CT-- #Fairfield CT-- A car failing to pull over for a Bridgeport narcotics officer engaged the officer into a pursuit that ended in Fairfield. The driver pulled into the medical building at 75 Kings Highway Cutoff (next to Staples) He then ran across the street on foot towards the Best Western Motel on Kings Highway and engaged officers in a foot pursuit. He ran onto I-95 where officers apprehended him.

2:14am--#Fairfield CT--#cttraffic-- Tonight's vehicle fire was hosted by Fairfield on I-95 northbound between exits 23 and 24. A passerby pulled the driver from the car according to radio reports.
