#Norwalk CT--Norwalk Detectives are seeking the public's assistance with identifying the pictured male. The male was involved in a theft at the Marshalls on Westport Avenue. During the commission of this crime, he was confronted by loss prevention. The male then pulled out a pair of scissors and threatened the employee. The male fled the store and ran eastbound on Westport Avenue, possibly entering a white van. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Cisero at 203-854-3034. Norwalk News: Child Porn Arrest

In November 2017 the Special Victims Unit (SVU) was contacted by the Department of Homeland Security regarding a referral from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The RCMP advised that a complaint had been made to their agency alleging inappropriate internet communication between a thirteen-year-old Canadian female and an adult male who they determined to have resided in Norwalk, CT. Norwalk Detective Jim Thompson then assumed the investigation.   On January 23, 2018, a search and seizure warrant was executed on the residence at 11 Suncrest Road in Norwalk. A number of internet-capable devices were seized from the residence during that operation. #Norwalk CT--On March 24, 2018, the Norwalk Department of Police Service received its seventh reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. ("CALEA"). The award was presented to the Norwalk Department of Police Service at the CALEA Conference in Frisco, Texas. Since its first accreditation in 1995, the Norwalk Department of Police Service has been successfully reaccredited every three years. Norwalk News: Narcotics Arrest

On March15 2018, members of the Special Services Division conducted a surveillance operation in the. During this operation, Francis Bruno was observed conducting a narcotics transaction in the Taylor Avenue area. After observing Bruno committing several motor vehicle violations, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of 497 Connecticut Avenue.   A Darien Police Department Canine Officer and Police Service Dog Kenny responded to the scene to assist. PSD Kenny indicated for the presence of the narcotic odor in Bruno’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded one hundred twenty-four grams of powdered cocaine. The cocaine was packaged in forty-eight separate bags of 1.15 gram and 3.7 gram weights. Bruno was in possession of $1439. Officers seized…

Norwalk News: Drug Arrest

#Norwalk CT-- On March 13, 2018, members of the Special Services Division and the Detective Bureau conducted a joint operation within the City of Norwalk. Detective Brendan Collins had previously secured an arrest warrant for Andre Roberts. This stemmed from an investigation into a home invasion that occurred on November 23, 2018 at 7 Midwood Road. At the time of the home invasion Roberts was a resident of 7 Midwood Road. During the investigation into the home invasion, Detectives located and seized 700 Xanax pills, 1.5 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, $9,000 cash and numerous Ziploc plastic bags consistent with those used to package marijuana for sale.
