Norwalk Police have arrested 34-year-old Mario Osorio-Lopez in connection with a July 12th armed robbery at Veterans’ Park. A juvenile victim reported arranging a meeting through Snapchat to sell high-value items when three suspects approached, one displayed a knife, and the items were forcibly taken. Osorio-Lopez was arrested on multiple charges including robbery, larceny, and risk of injury to a minor. Police say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Officers discovered a hidden electronic trap beneath the sales counter containing a large stash of marijuana products and THC edibles. The compartment held over 1 kilogram of marijuana products, including pre-rolls, THC vape cartridges, and edibles far exceeding Connecticut’s legal THC limits. Officers also recovered $1,169 in cash. Elderly Woman Fatally Struck by Truck in Norwalk Driveway

On July 12, 2025, at approximately 10:16 AM, Norwalk emergency services responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian struck by a pickup truck near 133 Connecticut Avenue. The victim, identified as 84-year-old Josephine Pimpinella, was found with serious injuries and transported to Norwalk Hospital, where she later died. Norwalk Police’s Crash Reconstruction Unit and detectives responded to the scene, gathering surveillance and witness statements. The investigation revealed that Ms. Pimpinella was crossing the driveway of 133 Connecticut Avenue when she was struck. This remains an active investigation.
