Stratford News: Robbery Arrest

On 02-21-20019 Zachary Hobbs age 61 of Bridgeport was arrest by warrant for an attempted armed robbery at the CITGO Gas Station located at 605 Success Avenue. The incident occurred on February 16, 2019. During the robbery, Hobbs displayed what appeared to be a handgun but fled the scene when the clerk refused to provide any money. Hobbs was charged with; Attempted Robbery First Degree and  Carrying a Dangerous Weapon Hobbs was assigned a court date of 2/28/19 He was held on a $200,000.00 bond. Stratford News: Shooting Arrest

#Stratford CT-- On 02-13-2019 Jacques Smith, age 20 of Stratford was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at the George Force Basketball Courts located on Woodend Road in Stratford. The shooting took place on 08-07-2018. #STRATFORD CT – The Town of Stratford is now taking applications for Senior and Disabled Property Tax relief.  Applications can be made Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 11:30am now through May 15, 2019 at the Assessor’s Office in Town Hall, 2725 Main Street, Stratford.* Those applying for tax relief must be 65 years of age by December 31, 2018 or approved as 100% disabled by Social Security. Applicants will need to present proof of income for 2018 and their Social Security benefit 1099 form (s) for 2018.
