Man Arrested for Killing a Kitten

On 11-1-24, Shelton Police arrested 47-year-old Krzystof Bakota of Shelton and charged him with Malicious Killing of an Animal 1st Degree. Bakota was held on a $25,000 bond and brought to Derby Court for arraignment on 11-1-24. The arrest stems from a report Shelton Police took from a family member of Bakota who stated she left her kitten in Bakota’s care while she was away. Bakota told her that the kitten went missing. Homeowner Shoots Back

Stratford Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Wanted Fugitive Zha Harris

The Stratford Police Department’s Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit is seeking public assistance in locating 50-year-old Zha Harris, who fled on foot during a recent traffic stop on Honeyspot Road. NVI detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging Harris with multiple offenses, including Violation of Conditions of Release, Interfering with a Police Officer, Operating Under Suspension, and Engaging Police in Pursuit. Harris, who has three additional warrants for Failure to Appear in court, is last known to be driving an unregistered black BMW 530i and may also go by the names "Marie Bey" or "Zha Bey." Stratford Police Arrest Two Following Narcotics Transaction Near Honeyspot Motel

NVI detectives observed a narcotics transaction occur between a female pedestrian and a male operating a green Honda.  After the narcotics transaction had occurred, NVI detectives detained the female pedestrian and conducted a motor vehicle stop of the green Honda several blocks away from the point of the narcotics transaction. Milford Man Arrested for Burglary and Larceny

On October 22, 2024, at approximately 7:00 AM, Milford Police took custody of Taquan Lee, a 30-year-old man from Bridgeport, in connection with an active arrest warrant. Lee is accused of burglarizing Lids at 1201 Boston Post Road, where he was previously employed, and is alleged to have taken $2,444 worth of deposits from the store in 2022. He faces charges of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, and second-degree larceny.
