Shelton Man arrested in connection to Fatal Drug Overdose
On 09/13/2024 the Shelton Police Department arrested 38-year-old Daniel Reid of Shelton. The arrest stems from a fatal drug overdose that occurred on 05/26/2024 in Shelton. A subsequent investigation by Shelton Detectives revealed Reid sold narcotics to the decedent just prior to the overdose. Search warrants were served at Reid's Shelton residence and on his vehicle. Detective discovered narcotics, a semi-automatic firearm with no serial number and ammunition.Reid was charged with Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Alteration of Firearm Identification, Criminal Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Weapons in a Motor Vehicle. Reid was held on a $300,000 bond and transported to Derby Superior Court on 09/13/2024
Ansonia Homicide-Suicide: New Details Emerge
https://youtu.be/a66phy5dDu4 This morning at approximately 5:00 A.M. the Ansonia Police Department received a 911 call reporting a serious assault in a residence on Westfield Avenue. The first officers on scene found a female and male inside the residence, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was shot multiple times in the torso, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The male was shot once in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Ansonia News: Two Suspicious Deaths
The Ansonia Police Department is currently investigating the suspicious deaths of two people in the 100 block of Westfield Avenue. The investigation is active and ongoing; however, this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
Milford News: Suspected Bomb in Library
The Milford Library is currently closed off due to a report of a suspected bomb in the Library. State Police are on scene at the current moment to ascertain the threat. There was no bomb threat called in, however, there was a suspicious package that someone called that it may be a bomb. There is no further information at this time and is currently ongoing.
Norwalk News: Shooting with One Wounded
On September 10th at 9:20PM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple calls regarding several gunshots in the area of Strawberry Hill Ave and Catalpa Street. Officers responded to the area and located a crime scene. At the same time, it was learned that one victim had arrived at Norwalk Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and is in serious condition. Detectives assumed the investigation and were able to determine that this was an isolated incident and there was no ongoing threat to the community. Detectives will be active in the area throughout the day continuing the investigation.
