Assisted Suicide was on the Public Health Committee's agenda last Friday, March 29th, but was "held" for lack of votes.  Then it was put back on the agenda for Monday, April 1st, and again "held" for lack of votes! It was at this point that Rep. Jonathan Steinberg, the Committee Chairman, declared defeat, an announcement covered by the press. The Norwalk Police Activities League (PAL) announces applications are available for their 2019 Public Safety Scholarships. All Norwalk residents currently attending a Norwalk high school are eligible to apply. Students must be a graduating senior in good standing and plan to attend an accredited college or university in 2019. Up to four (4) $2500 scholarships may be awarded. Requirements include: A minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average. A letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university. Current high school transcript addressed to PAL. Westport News: Celtic Ticket Sinks Burglar

#Westport CT-- On 12/26/2018 at approximately 11:00am, officers were dispatched to a Charles Street office building on a report of a burglary. Four office suites were burglarized after the suspect kicked in the doors. Investigators later found physical evidence linking Jeff Lubin, 30, of Providence, Rhode Island, to the crime scenes. One of the businesses, a ticket retailer, reported a Celtics ticket had been stolen. Lubin later posted the stolen ticket for sale on a social media page. An arrest warrant application was submitted for Lubin and later approved. On 03/25/219, Lubin was taken into custody in Rhode Island at the office of probation on the outstanding warrant. 3 Suicides In 3 Days

#Trumbull CT--The body of a Trumbull resident was discovered in a wooded area of the Pequonnock River Trail on Wednesday afternoon suffering from apparent self-inflicted injuries. The resident, a fifty-six-year-old male resident of the Old Town Rd. area of Trumbull was discovered laying on the ground, off of the path, with apparent fatal injuries. The Trumbull Police were sent to the Park St. entrance of the Pequonnock River Trail around 2:30 PM for the report of the male’s discovery. Trumbull EMS also arrived and assisted with rendering medical aid to the male before transporting him to Bridgeport Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
