Fairfield News: Animal Cruelty Charges

#Fairfield CT--On 11/14/2018 at 3:59pm the Fairfield Police Department responded to 37 Prince Street for a report of animal cruelty. Officers responded to find several animal carcasses, which are believed to be canine remains, in crates within the residence. Fairfield Animal Control Officers and Detectives responded to the house to further investigate. The remains were removed after a search warrant for the residence was conducted. Bridgeport Cops Snuff Out Cigarette Thief

12:40am--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a call from Walgreen Security of an intruder in their 960 North Avenue Store.  Police surrounded the store and officers peered in the window and observed the man allegedly attempting load up and steal cigarettes.  Once the man realized the police were there he kept running back and forth towards the pharmacy department. Shakespeare Theater: Alarms & Sprinkler Did Not Activate

#Stratford CT-- Monday the city of Stratford held a press conference to address the fire at the Shakespeare Theater early Sunday morning. Fire Chief Robert McGrath said the first 911 call came in at 0049 hours or approximately ten of 1am. Police were first on the scene within minutes and report the structure was fully engulfed. The chief said the first arriving units reported heavy fire throughout the structure. Firefighters also had to contend with burning embers starting fires in the trees and marsh area.
