2021-05-23@3:08pm-- #Southport CT-- #Fairfield CT-- A boat being towed from Virginia to Rhode Island diverted off I-95 due to the earlier accident and struck the railroad overpass on Westway Road. The overpass was clearly marked to be ten feet in height.

Norwalk News: Building Fire
#Norwalk CT-- 0543hrs. this morning Norwalk Fire responded to a Structure fire at 7 Reynolds St. owned by Norwalk Linen Service CO. The fire was already coming through the roof when companies arrived. Five engines & two truck companies responded with 33 firefighters. It took approximately 1 ½ hours to bring the fire under control. The building is posted unfit for occupancy and is still under investigation . There were no injuries reported.

Fairfield News: I-95 Overpass Hit
2021-05-22@7:34@5:09pm-- #Fairfield CT-- The I-95 overpass on Mill Plain Road was hit by a payloader style truck in tow. Mill Plain Road was down to one lane for over an hour. Bud's heavy duty towing crew was called to free the vehicle. There were no reported injuries. The Department of Transportation was called to check the integrity of the I-95 overpass.

Homicide – Suncrest Road: UPDATE
#Norwalk CT-- On Thursday May 20, 2021 at approximately 12:18 PM, the Norwalk Police Department responded toreports of shots fired in the area of 160 Suncrest Road and located a gunshot victim, who was rapidly transported to Norwalk Hospital with life threatening injuries. In the early morning hours of May 21,2021 the victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained. The victim, Timothy Cantey, was a 19 year old resident of South Norwalk. The investigation, now ahomicide investigation, is active and ongoing. Bridgeport News:Crash With Extrication
2021-05-21@4:36pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating how this car hit a parked car across the street on the other side of the road requiring the firefighters to extricate and remove the cars door to get the person out of the car behind the hospital on Gurdon Street. EMS transported one to the hospital....at least they didn't have far to go.
