Bridgeport Woman Fatally Stabbed at Park Avenue Rooming House; Homicide Investigation Underway

The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found stabbed at a Park Avenue rooming house shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the 350 block of Park Avenue around 12:05 am for an altercation involving numerous persons. The victim, 41-year-old Willesha Riddick of Bridgeport, was bleeding and unresponsive at the front door of the house. She was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent's Hospital and pronounced deceased. It was determined Ms. Reddick was stabbed multiple times. A second female suffered a minor stab wound at the house. She was treated at Bridgeport Hospital and released. Homicide Detectives conducted interviews throughout the night. The Major Crimes Unit was processing scene into the morning. The stabbings…

Bridgeport Police Arrest Man in 2025 Greene Homes Homicide

Bridgeport Police arrested a city man on Monday for a 2025 homicide in the Greene Homes. William Davis, 49, was charged with Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Assault of an Elderly Person in the Second Degree in the death of Kevin McKinnon, 61, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, on September 10, 2025. Mr. McKinnon was found dead inside an apartment he had been staying at in Building #2 in the Greene Homes on Friday night of September 12, 2025. Family and friends of Mr. McKinnon went to the apartment after they had not seen or heard from him in more than two days. Chief Porter Holds Press Conference for February 6th Homicides

Bridgeport, CT – This afternoon, a press conference was held to discuss the two homicides that took place during the afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday, February 6th, 2023. Although unrelated, both homicides took place within a seven-hour span. The Bridgeport Police Department currently has additional officers on patrol for the remainder of the week to ensure the safety of Bridgeport residents that live in the areas of which the two homicides took place. The two victims of the February 6th homicides were identified as 26-year-old Tyheem Scales from Naugatuck, CT and 35-year-old Tyeshon King of Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport News: Arrest Made In August Homicide

#Bridgeport – The Bridgeport Police Department today announced an arrest was made in the August 27, 2016 murder of Shane Slinsky.  An arrest warrant was served on Jeremy Middleton (DOB: 4/17/98 of Stamford, CT), charging him with his role in the August 27, 2016 murder of Shane Slinsky.  The evidence revealed that the victim, Shane Slinsky was brought to Bridgeport from Stamford by three men that he believed were his friends.  Their true intention was to rob him.  When they stopped in front of 21 Wood Terrace, Slinsky was shot and killed. 4:13am--#Bridgeport, CT -- May 12, 2013 -- Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting this morning on Berkshire Avenue at Noble Avenue. The name of the victim is Robert Rivera, 22, of Bridgeport. Police responded to the area at 4:13 a.m. today on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed a silver Ford Fusion parked on Berkshire, just west of Noble. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes in its left, front window and door area. Inside the vehicle police found a male who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
