Fairfield Detective And Son Of Norwalk Mayor Arrested

#Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police Press Release: Over the last several weeks the Fairfield Police Department has been conducting both an internal investigation and a separate criminal investigation into the misappropriation of drug evidence by a Police Detective within the organization.   This investigation has culminated in the arrest on a warrant today of Detective Stephen Rilling, age 40, on the charges of Computer Crime 3 rd degree, Larceny in the 2 nd degree, Forgery in the 2 nd degree, Possession of Narcotics, False entry by an officer or agent of a Public Community and Tampering with evidence. Video game promo draws Fairfield Police response

4:49pm--#Fairfield CT--Multiple police were dispatched to the Game Stop on Black Rock Turnpike for a man with a gun.  As police were on the way it was thought to be a toy gun according to the caller.  Police taking no chances approached the scene with caution with assault weapons at the ready.  Police confirmed it was a man in costume for the the promotional release of the video game Call of Duty -Ghost.  The man hired by the store for the promotion remained on scene, too shaken to talk to us.  The manager asked me to leave the store offering no insight to the thinking on this promotion.
