Bridgeport Police Department Arrests Man for Possession of Dangerous Weapon, Narcotics

#Bridgeport, Conn. (Nov. 12, 2015) – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of a man for several motor vehicle infractions and criminal acts, including possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of narcotics. On Monday, November 9, police officers observed the operator of a vehicle failing to stop at the intersection of Benham Ave. and Coleman St., followed by taking an abrupt turn onto Benham Ave. heading west. While travelling down Benham Ave., the vehicle was swerving in and out of lanes, and nearly struck approximately six properly parked vehicles.  After pulling the vehicle over in front of the 1438 Park Avenue building, the police officer noticed that the driver – Hatim Jaoulane (DOB: 05/01/1979)  – was attempting to switch…

Westport News: Returns for Cash…..

On Monday November 9th, 2015 Rachel Taylor (age 18) turned herself into the Westport Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for her arrest.  On October 23rd, 2015 the Westport Police Department received a complaint of a larceny from a Post Road store. The store manager reported that one of the store employees had completed seven returns which had a positive balance and that the inventory was missing. An audit of the employee’s transactions was completed confirming the larceny of reported returns for cash.  Arrested was Rachel Taylor (age 18) of Westport Connecticut Taylor was charged with Larceny 6th C.G.S 53a-125b Taylor was unable to post $250 bond and was issued a court date of November 20th at Norwalk Court.   This report is made possible…

Trumbull News: Officer Injured From Pursuit

1:36am--A suspect allegedly ran a red light on Daniels Farm Road when police attempted to stop the black jeep.  The suspect fled on Route 25 southbound starting at exit 8 speeds around 70mph according to radio reports.  The officer was able to call in the plate number which back to a different vehicle.  Backup officers were dispatched.  The pursuit got off exit 6 where the suspect crashed head into a different police car on its way to assist.  Both the officer and suspect were injured and taken to the hospital with injuries unknown at this time.

Bridgeport Police Department Arrests Man for Illegal Possession of Firearm

#Bridgeport, Conn. (November 10, 2015) – The Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of a man for illegal possession of a firearm, as well as several other criminal and motor vehicle charges. On Sunday, November 8, a patrolman observed a 2006 Silver BMW heading down Chamberlain St., operating at a high speed, and disobeying a “Stop Sign.”  The vehicle then turned left (westbound) on Summit St. when the patrolman activated his lights and attempted to pull the suspect over.   The operator of the vehicle slowed down, but refused to come to a complete stop while driving down Summit St. near Chopsey Hill Rd.  Speeding up and evading apprehension, the operator of the vehicle (a.k.a., the suspect) raced down Chopsey Hill…
