Bridgeport Man Arrested with Stolen Firearm and Juveniles in Vehicle

Bridgeport, CT – On February 26, 2025, Officer Fischetti conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing multiple violations. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Andre J. Lewison of Bridgeport, was accompanied by three juveniles. During the stop, officers discovered a loaded black Stoeger STR-9C handgun with a laser inside the vehicle. The firearm, which was later determined to be stolen out of North Carolina, contained a 13-round magazine with 13 live 9mm rounds. Lewison was charged with failure to display plates and having tinted auto glass. He was also charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapons in a motor vehicle, stealing a firearm, illegal possession of a large-capacity firearm, and illegal alteration of firearm indents. Traffic Stop in Bridgeport Leads to Arrest, Illegal Gun Seized

On February 27, 2025, at 7:51 PM, Bridgeport Police stopped a Black Chevrolet Camaro near Iranistan Ave and Laurel Ave due to a heavily tinted windshield. As Officer Fischetti activated his emergency lights, the driver, 27-year-old Nytwan Brown of Derby, attempted to back into a driveway. A records check revealed Brown had an active warrant out of North Branford. He was taken into custody, and a search of his vehicle uncovered a Taurus .45 caliber firearm with a heavily scratched-off serial number under the driver’s seat. Brown was charged with multiple offenses, including carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $15,000.

Bridgeport Task Force Arrest Burglary Crew Linked to Multiple Heists

On February 20th, The Bridgeport Regional Task Force concluded a month-long investigation of Burglary suspects responsible for several ATM and commercial burglaries across the state of Connecticut. Through diligent investigative work, surveillance, and intelligence gathering, investigators were able to identify the suspects involved.
