Fairfield Police UPDATE: On November 22, 2021 at approximately 6:34 PM the Fairfield Police Department received several callsreporting the theft of an occupied vehicle which had just occurred in front of 16 Handles at 1300 PostRoad in Fairfield.The initial investigation has revealed that a couple had parked their vehicle in the area of 1300 Post Roadand had left the vehicle to make a purchase at a nearby establishment. 2021-11-15@11:55am--#Fairfield CT-- The Bank of America located at  2150 Black Rock Turnpike called police to let them know the found 5 firearms in a safety deposit box. The box as inactive for a period of time and the bank and police were not able to locate the 91 year old owner of the box, it's not known at this time if the owner is still alive. The bank drilled the box and found 5 firearms, there were no "hits" on the firearms, that is they are not stolen nor involved in any crimes. 2021-10-19@6:29pm--#Fairifield CT--Olajuwon Johnson age 37 was taken into custody after he followed the female complainant into the secured Alto Apartment Complex. Complainant called to report the subject was standing by the mailboxes. When Patrol Officers arrived on scene they located Johnson dressed in all black clothing with a black mask standing in a secured area of the apartment complex. Johnson first claimed to be waiting for a ride then stated he was waiting for a train. Warrant checks revealed Johnson was wanted for 2 separate warrants for failure to appear 1st Degree on 53a-113 Arson 3rd Degree $50,000.00 bond and failure to appear 2nd on 53a-109 Criminal Trespass 1st Degree and 53a-167a Interfering with an Officer with a $10,000.00 bond.

Police UPDATE: On Thursday, October 14, 2021 at approximately 12:58 AM, the Fairfield Police Department received a report from a Cumberland farms employee at 975 Kings Highway East, Fairfield, that a male gunshot victim had just entered the store. The victim is a delivery driver for Miller Nissan who was shot in the abdomen during a robbery attempt at the dealership at 930 Kings Highway East.  The victim was transported to an area Hospital and has undergone surgery.  The latest report was that he is expected to recover. Fairfield Firefighters Rescue Dog From Cliff

2021-08-27@10:10pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters just finished up an accident with no injuries on Black Rock Turnpike when a call came in from the Reda family that their dog was stuck on a cliff above the commuter parking lot at 3087 Black Rock Turnpike. Assistant Fire Chief Roger Caisse told me the dog was up a sheer cliff about 75 feet up and the dog had no where else to go. They were able to utilize their new tower ladder through the trees to access the dog. The firefighters used a make shift harness to get him down. 2021-08-13 #Fairfield CT-- Around 10am firefighters were dispatched to a garage fire behind 44 Turney Road.  As impressive as the flames were, the firefighters had the fire out and under control about 15 minutes after the water supply was established.  After chasing hot spots and opening up walls to make sure the fire was out they recalled the fire within a half hour from the start.  There were no reported injuries and the fire marshal is on scene investigating the cause. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sar0jTsz_ow
