Fairfield Man Extradited from Florida on Multiple Warrants Tied to Domestic Violence by Norwalk Police

Norwalk, CT – In November 2023, Norwalk Police were contacted by Desoto Correctional Institution in Florida about Jacob Getman, a Fairfield man incarcerated on domestic violence charges and wanted on multiple warrants in Connecticut. After confirming he was wanted on several warrants—many involving domestic violence—Norwalk Police arranged for his extradition. On June 22, 2025, members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division traveled to Florida to extradite Getman, 36, of Fairfield. He was returned to Connecticut and held on a total of $280,000 bond for multiple warrants including four counts of first-degree failure to appear, two counts of violation of a protective order, and two counts of violation of probation. Getman was arraigned at Stamford Court on June 23, 2025.

Norwalk Police arrested 34-year-old Melvin Colon after a months-long narcotics investigation centered on 265 Wilson Avenue. Following multiple community complaints, officers obtained four search warrants and five arrest warrants for Colon, targeting his apartment, two vehicles, and his person. The Rowayton Memorial Day Parade will be on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 12:00–1:30 PM. The following streets will be closed during this time: Highland Avenue from Wilson Avenue to McKinley Street McKinley Street from Highland Avenue to Rowayton Avenue Rowayton Avenue from McKinley Street to Witch Lane Route 136 will be detoured from Rowayton Avenue onto Witch Lane to Crest Road to Wilson Avenue. Three Arrested After Loaded Guns and Drugs Found in Vehicle Stop

On May 20, 2025, Norwalk Police stopped a vehicle near Cudlipp Street and Jacob Street and found the driver, Charles Razor, had a suspended license. Passenger Darius McGee was carrying a loaded Glock 45 with an extended magazine, and a search of the vehicle uncovered another loaded handgun with a defaced serial number, suspected narcotics, and unidentified pills. Norwalk Police Officers have arrested Giovani Holguin, the driver involved in a motor vehicle accident on April 19, 2025, which resulted in serious physical injuries to a juvenile. At 7:17 PM on April 19, 2025, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle accident in the area of 44 Wilson Avenue in which a vehicle struck a juvenile. A Norwalk High School softball coach has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior and unwanted touching of students on school grounds. Cary Nadel, 70, of Wilton, turned himself in to police on May 9, 2025, and faces four counts of Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree and one count of Risk of Injury to a Minor.
