CARJACKING ARREST

#Norwalk CT--On June 19, 2023, at 5:47pm, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a report of a carjacking at 580 Main Avenue. Arriving Patrol Division Officers located the victim, who had been shot in the leg during the incident. Officers rendered aid and the victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle and suspect description were relayed to area police departments. A short time later the vehicle and the suspect were taken into custody on unrelated charges by the Danbury Police Department. Norwalk Police Detectives assumed the investigation and quickly determined that the suspect had entered the victim’s vehicle with a firearm and instructed the victim to drive. Norwalk News: Attempted Kidnapping

On 8-6-23 at 5:21PM, Norwalk Police patrol officers responded to a report of a man that tried to take a child out of a vehicle parked in front of 28 Bouton Street. The complainant told police that once she unbuckled the child’s seatbelt in the rear of the vehicle, an unknown man reached into the vehicle and began to remove the child from the car. The complainant stated that she was able to hold onto the child preventing the man from taking the child. The complainant reported that the man then asked if she wanted to sell the child and offered the complainant money. #Norwalk CT--On Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 10:49 PM, a Norwalk Police Officer conducting high visibility patrol at 30 Day Street, was notified of a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage of building “E”. Norwalk News: Fatal Accident – Witnesses Sought

#Norwalk CT-- On July 21, 2023, at 9:58 p.m. Norwalk Combined Dispatch received reports of an accident involving a car and a moped at the intersection of Maple Street and Van Buren Avenue. Norwalk Police Officers responded to the scene and located two vehicles, a moped and an Infiniti SUV. The operator of the moped was transported to Norwalk Hospital with significant injuries and was later pronounced deceased at Norwalk Hospital. The operator of the second vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. Norwalk News: 2 Arrested In Home Invasion

On the morning of July 12, 2023, two Norwalk residents were taken into custody following their involvement in several cases of burglary, robbery, and home invasion. On May 22, 2023, a residence on Lexington Avenue was burglarized, cash was taken, and a television and other items were damaged. A report was filed with the Norwalk Police Department on the following day. On May 24, 2023, a home invasion occurred at the same address and was reported to investigators the next day. Gas Station Robbery Arrests Norwalk Police Officers locate and arrest a robbery suspect within 30 minutes of receiving the 911 call for help. On July 18, 2023, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Norwalk Police Department Combined Dispatch received a call advising that a black male had just entered a gas station on Connecticut Avenue displaying a knife, demanded cigarettes and a lighter, then left the store on foot. Norwalk Police Officers discovered that there were unlocked doors in a commercial building nearby, prompting a check within. In November of 2022, The Norwalk Police Department Detective Bureau opened an investigation into a report of a married couple illegally taking money from an elderly person. The wife, Kelley Lombardo, was the conservator for the elderly person, and together with her husband Michael Lombardo, were accused of taking approximately $460,000 for their own personal use. As the result of a seven-month-long and detailed investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Michael and Kelley Lombardo, who turned themselves in to the Norwalk Police Department on May 11, 2023.
